Screenlight Shutdown FAQ and Notes

Introduction

As we prepare for the closure of Screenlight.tv on July 1, 2024 (see the original announcement), we've compiled answers to some frequently asked questions to assist you in the transition.

How long can I continue to use Screenlight?

You will be able to continue using all current services without any changes until July 1, 2024.

What do I need to do to prepare for the shutdown?

Please ensure that you download all necessary data from your Screenlight.tv account before June 30, 2024. After this date, all account information and stored data will be permanently deleted. We recommend starting this process well in advance.

Do you have a bulk export option?

Unfortunately, we do not have batch export functionality for videos or comments. You will need to download each video that you want to keep individually. As we are closing down the business, we do not intend to add batch export functionality.

Can you help me export my information or migrate to another service?

We cannot offer manual assistance in migrating accounts or downloading media/comments. Please note we do not have a batch export functionality for videos or comments. Likewise, we cannot transfer or migrate your account directly to an alternative service provider.

Do you recommend any alternative services?

We apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause to your business operations. We have prepared a list of alternative service providers, which include:

These companies are frequently chosen by our former customers. We do not endorse any particular company or solution nor have we tested them. We recommend you evaluate them carefully and select the one that best fits your needs.

Can you offer me an extension?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer any extensions, even on a paid basis. We recommend that you download any material that you need as soon as possible. On the shutdown date, all media and comments will be immediately and irrevocably deleted.

Can I delete my account before the shutdown date?

Yes, if you are a monthly customer, you can do so from the accounts page of the Screenlight application. If you are an annual plan customer, please contact us so that we can manually delete your account.

Who do I contact for customer support?

We can be reached at support@screenlight.tv to help with service or billing questions. Please note, that we cannot offer exceptions to the shutdown date, nor can we manually export your data for you.
